Table is solidly built, and has suited our family for years. The vinyl covers all need replacing also.
Drawers slide in and out a little roughly but they all work properly.
I have sanded and waxed the fronts of all the drawers, and the timber is beautiful, but the rest of the cabinet needs a sand and wax. This rare pair are in great structural condition and the finish to the timber is also in good condition. The springing to the seating is sound but the upholstery is worn, providing a great opportunity to recover in upholstery matching your dining chairs so that they would make a great addition to either end of your dining table.
Or alternatively, use them as arm chairs/parlour chairs/ desk chairs, inspection is welcome, and cash on pickup is preferred. Comes apart in two sections so its super easy to move. Plenty of marks and blemishes that add to it's beautiful patina.
I just don't have the space for it any longer and hate to let it go. The chair pads pop out to make recovering super easy. Table is 120cm diameter and 70cm in height.
The lower section of this piece of furniture has 2 large drawers behind 2 cupboard doors with original latches/handles. The upper part of this cabinet features two wide shelves (again one is sectioned into three parts) behind decorative painted glass patterned doors. The table is sturdy, and the top has is made of two sheets of timber (one has about 8 small knots - see photos). Width: 59cm - width at widest point on top (65cm - width at widest point on base). Has two glass shelves in top section and glass door with a lock and key. There is one good sized drawer in the base. The unit is all one piece - it doesn’t come apart for transport. So a round piece of tapestry fabric is also included that sits loosely on top of the original piece. With both hanging room and separate draws and shelves. Cupboard rests on the stand, shown in photo. This allows the wardrobe to be off the ground. Mirror on the centre door in good condition. Size is 840 high, basket width are 710x 460. The wheels are all intact but are a bit loose in their tubing. Could be used as coffee tables or bedside tables. The cabinet is in excellent condition with barely a mark on it. Condition in need of some tlc, however good for its age. The cupboard is a very well made piece and is in very good condition. Very sturdy, no wobbly legs or joins etc. There are some marks and scratches as would be expected on an old timber trolley. None of the items on the trolley are included. The seat is round, and there are cross beams underneath. Basic upholstering has been carried out but the seat needs respringing. Not sure type of timber but may be cedar or mahogany.

Two top drawers and second drawer key hole locks and front cover plate exists. Other drawers missing front cover plate only. The line between vintage and antique is a sliding scale according to perspective, the 1960s seems antique to someone born in the 1990s!
One of the key benefits of antique furniture is the use of solid wood rather than the cheaper to produce, veneered wooden items now widely available. Whilst the type of wood of a piece may not always be known, an antique sideboard in good condition can be a gem waiting to be discovered. Likewise, a set of refectory chairs can add a soft, industrial touch to your dining room. Our vintage furniture items are clean and green meaning no new trees have been chopped down to create these pieces. Many people love it but for me it’s a little claustrophobic and crowded for relaxed browsing. Due to space restrictions there is not a lot of big furniture in here so expect to find plenty of smaller collectable homewares, records, vintage clothing and lighting. Instead of different versions of the same stuff there is a clear style distinction from stall to stall which makes browsing really interesting. Over 1400 square metres of mixed vintage shopping. But they are all great and the cafes are really good with home cooked goodness at the ready. Keep up the website and keep adding more places to visit and photos.
I like antique/vintage stuff until recently. The range of stuff is amazing, and there are so many great stalls, each with their own particular style. Melbourne for over 10 years and didn’t know half of these junk places existed so it’s heaps of fun for me too!

Vic, pickers market stawell, bring back cool ararat, keep it up pls!
Firstly let me say that while they do have a great range of antiques including some very different items, unfortunately the manager’s charm does not match the charm of some of their pieces. They made it very obvious that children are not welcome at their business and the language used in communicating that message was nothing short of offensive.
I spent all my time rescuing pieces from small fingers and potential accidents. Perhaps after 6 weeks of school holidays they were wearing thin. So colourful and cheerful inside – records, buttons, vintage clothes and great mid century furniture.
A bargain has to work both ways though or someone wastes a lot of time finding pieces with no reward.
