Lem is very friendly and he told us a lot of useful information about the park, great for first time visitors!
Once you’re at the cabin, you feel like you’re a million miles away in your own woody world. I loved sitting on the porch each morning with my coffee listening to the birds and the breeze blowing through the trees. The breakfast room was across the hall (which is where we enjoyed breakfast each morning). There was such finesse in her delicious meals and it made our stay just that much more memorable!
The location is super close to all of the hiking, swimming and canoeing you can squeeze in. Anything you might need in the kitchen was there and there were even extra snacks for the trails!
There is one house next door but we only saw the people one time and their house is not viewable from the hot tub at all. We’ll even pick you up at the airport or do your laundry if you need us to for a modest fee. Walking into the space, we were greeted with soothing music playing on our tv, the electric fireplace on and a lovely essential oil aroma filling the air.
Numerous outdoor attractions and memorable experiences at the nearby towns await your arrival!
We really enjoyed the large deck for drinking coffee in the morning and appetizers in the evening.
Cabin enjoy view
The host are really responsive and they even bought essentials for us when we asked for help!
We also decided the views over the mountains was not worth not having an area to walk around. Before climbing into bed each night, take a dip in the hot tub or play a fun game of air hockey!
Of course, hickory is as hard as some metals making these solid wood furniture sets are unique and long-lasting.
I rolled out my yoga mat on the front porch in the morning and had an amazing scenery for my practice.
The room was nicely decorated and we had access to the adjacent living area which included a lounge and fireplace, a full kitchen and eating tables.
You will be in your own little mountain space not surrounded by cabins looking down on you. The cabin itself is very clean and includes everything you may need for an enjoyable stay.
Though we did not spend much time at the house itself–there are some really lovely areas to enjoy.
After a fun day of adventure or a quiet day of rest, you can sit around the outdoor fire pit and listen to the crickets chirp.
Valley itself is quiet and peaceful, and is only a short drive away to the entrance of the park. Tall, beamed ceilings and natural wood features create a warm and inviting space to spend quality time with your sweetheart. There is a very nice mountain view from the back deck and it was very nice drinking our coffee out their in the morning. Lem was an awesome host-available if we had a question or wanted help but not overbearing at all. After a full day of sightseeing, return to enjoy a soak in the hot tub or feast on an al fresco meal while looking at the stars.
The cabin also offers a charcoal grill and outdoor sitting area where you can enjoy eating meals with your friends and family!
We had 6 friends (3 couples) staying and we loved the room arrangements (main reason we booked this place)!
For the ones that need a little more pampering, there is the steaming outdoor hot tub on the lower deck. If you have the giant views, you drive up to a property and walk into the house and cannot get out and explore.
We especially enjoyed the rockers on the deck and the billiard table that was level, had all the balls and the sticks had good tips.
One of the most attractive aspects of log cabin furniture is the low maintenance; a little polish and dusting from time to time is all that’s necessary.
