Our vintage rental collection is vast and includes some interesting pieces. One of them is the french bottle drying rack, called a “herisson bouteilles” in France, which means “bottle hedgehogs” because of its spiky prongs. The piece was created in 1914 and range in size, with some being tall enough to stand on the floor. We have one in our collection and it’s one of my favorite pieces. We have used it a number of different ways including the most traditional use, which is displaying mugs, but also more creative and fun uses such as a chandelier adorned with florals and a donut display! Check it out!
Here we used the French bottle drying rack as a mug holder for a coffee bar we styled for a wedding at the St. Pete Shuffleboard club.
