This year will be our 3rd year with OITF!
Our first year we attended with friends. We chose a local dinner in North San Diego with Schaner Farms. The second year we joined the table at Farmer Leo's newly established farm in Encinitas with beer service from Saint Archer in San Diego, wine pairings from Milagro Farms in Ramona and chefs from Whisknladle in La Jolla.
This year there is NO dinner site in San Diego County (which is surprising since we have more small farms than any other location in California)! We will be heading to Riverside for our third event.
A typical event begins around 4pm:
4:00-4:45 Beer, Wine and/or Cocktail Hour (A chance to mingle)
4:45 to 5:30 Introductions by the OITF team and Farm Tour (An opportunity to learn)
5:30 Obtaining Your Plate, Seating and Wine Pours (A tradition with OITF)
6:00-Approximately 9:00 - The Farm Dinner (A family style experience w/wine pairings).
The cost per dinner varies by location and is between $195 to $245 per person.
I will admit it is a bit on the pricey side, but there is a cost to running an event in a field/farm too!
This company needs to be like Godiva and be essentially EVERYWEHRE!
I LOVE, LoVe, luv, the Honolulu Cookie company and their delicious little biscuits (well, they are shortbread cookies) of tropical goodness (really, the flavors are amazing)! I just don't have enough words to describe this as my favorite treat!
The cookies come in flavors such as mango, kona coffee, pineapple, chocolate dipped. etc. They actually have 18 signature flavors! I love them all. They come in cool shapes and various sizes of gift boxes - pineapple being their traditional shape, whales tails, and other seasonal selections!
